Beside Mrs. Jackson is a Union soldier silhouette that was one of four that were on display. . These art forms were created by students of the Odessa High School art class under the tutelage of Ms. Nancy Wilson. The LCJF considers it an honor to have been gifted these art masterpieces!
In addition to our silhouettes, Wayne Seals displayed four beautiful
pictures that were painted or designed by his sister, Rebecca and
brother, Howard Seals. All of the art works added to the history and the
blessings of Juneteenth. It would make a great feature article in the
Higginsville Advance. Howard Seals wrote and published several books and
lived and worked in Chicago.
